1st Birthday Princess Cake

Last weekend we had the honor of creating Karen's very first birthday cake!  Karen's mommy asked us to make a cake to fit their pink and gold party! The bottom and top tier of this cake are both pink. The bottom tier has a gold scroll pattern and the top tier is quilted with gold beading at the intersecting points. A lovely white sash and bow separates the tiers and the cake is topped with a scroll inspired princess crown - all made of fondant!
